• The gallery space at the Vickers Theatre features local artists and is open to the public before shows and between shows. The gallery opens 1 1/2 hours before the first show for viewing. July 1 - August 2, 2010: Watercolors by Donna Bell, long time resident of Lakeside, Michigan. This show also features a sculpture of a horse composed entirely of pieces of wood from her fireplace kindling box.

• Art with a capital "A" is a Plainwell Community Fine Art Fair. August 21, 2010 from 10:00-4:00. Silent auction to benefit the artists and the Plainwell High School Art Deptartment. Local artists interested in showing, the deadline for entry is July 29, 2010. Booth fee is $45 and jury fee is $15. Cash awards for "Peoples Choice" selections.

  • The Vicksburg Art Hop and Shop is scheduled for Friday, August 20th from 5 – 9 p.m. in downtown Vicksburg. This event is a community celebration of local artists, performers and businesses. Venues are within easy walking distance and maps are available at several host locations. While appreciating the works on display by our local talent, enjoy the sales and tasty nibbles offered by many of the businesses. Listen to the musical performances along the streets and in Oswalt Park.
